Terms of Service

Welcome to Storsley Bison Ranch! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the conditions that apply when you place an order for bison from our farm. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms, so please review them carefully.

1. Ordering and Availability

  • How to Order: Orders can be placed through our website at storsleybisonranch.ca. All orders are subject to confirmation and availability.

  • Product Availability: Our bison is sold in various portions—individual cuts, grouped in packages and boxes and sold in bulk —and availability may vary based on season or supply. If an item is not available, we’ll inform you and suggest alternatives when possible.

  • Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring all order information is accurate, including cuts (if applicable), quantities, and pickup or delivery instructions. We are not responsible for errors caused by incorrect details submitted at the time of order.

2. Pricing and Payment

  • Regular Orders: Prices are charged per pound and include standard cutting and wrapping. Prices may change without notice; the price at the time of order confirmation will apply.

  • Bulk Orders: Pricing is based on carcass weight, and cutting/wrapping charges are billed separately. Prices are subject to change without notice; confirmed pricing applies once your order is finalized.

  • Deposits: Bulk orders require a non-refundable deposit. You will be informed of the deposit amount and deadline when ordering.

  • Final Payment: Full payment is due upon delivery or pickup. We accept cash, e-transfers, and credit cards.

  • Taxes & Fees: Applicable taxes and any additional charges (such as delivery fees) will be disclosed and included in your final invoice.

3. Delivery and Pickup

  • Delivery: We currently deliver on Mondays within our service area. A valid delivery address must be provided, and someone must be present to receive the product. We are not responsible for spoilage due to missed deliveries or incorrect addresses.

  • Pickup: If you choose to pick up at a farmers' market, your order must be collected within the agreed time. Orders left unclaimed for more than 24 hours may be forfeited without refund, though we’ll try to contact you first.

  • Risk of Loss: Responsibility for the product transfers to you once the order is picked up or delivered.

4. Returns and Refunds

  • Due to the perishable nature of our bison, we do not accept returns or provide full refunds once an order has been delivered or picked up. For concerns about your order, please refer to our Return Policy.

5. Product Quality and Intended Use

  • Quality Assurance: We strive to provide premium-quality bison that meets industry standards. Slight differences in cut, appearance, or weight are natural and not considered defects.

  • Proper Storage: Once the product has left our care, you are responsible for storing it correctly. We cannot be held liable for spoilage due to mishandling.

  • Use Policy: Our bison is sold strictly for personal use. Reselling or using the product commercially is not permitted without our written consent.

6. Order Cancellations and Modifications

​BULK ORDERS: (half, quarter, whole bison)

  • Cancellations: You may cancel a bulk order for a full refund (excluding non-refundable deposits) if the request is made at least 4 days before processing or delivery. After this window, cancellations may not be eligible for a refund.

  • Modifications: Changes to bulk orders (half, quarter, whole bison) must be requested before processing begins and are subject to availability. Changes to regular orders (market pick-up or delivery) are considered final with our order confirmation call. 

REGULAR ORDERS: (farmers' market or porch delivery)

  • Cancellations: You may cancel a regular order with a refund within 24 hours of an order being placed.

  • Modifications: You may modify a regular order within 48 hours of an order being placed, or at the time of the confirmation phone call. 

7. Limitation of Liability

  • To the extent allowed by law, Storsley Bison Ranch is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages related to your purchase or use of our products (e.g., illness due to improper cooking). Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the order.

  • We are not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including weather, equipment issues, or supply chain disruptions.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All materials related to Storsley Bison Ranch—logos, photographs, branding, and marketing content—are the property of the ranch. These may not be used or reproduced without written permission, except for personal use such as reviews or testimonials (refer to our Privacy Policy for how we may use submitted content).

9. Policy Updates

  • We may revise these Terms as needed to reflect changes in our business. The version in effect at the time of your order will apply. You can find the latest version on our website or by contacting us.
